An Introduction to the UK Statute Law Database
SLD is maintained by the staff of the Statutory Publications Offices in London and Belfast. The London office is part of the Ministry of Justice. The Belfast office is the responsibility of the Office of the Legislative Counsel in Northern Ireland within the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister. The editorial work of the two offices is carried out under qualified legal supervision.
