New Legislation

The table below shows all legislation newly published to the SLD website over the last seven days, most recently published first.

Newly enacted legislation is loaded onto the SLD website as soon as is reasonably practicable following publication by The Stationery Office. However, because we carry out certain editorial processes to add value to the legislation and we also analyse and tabulate the effects of it on other legislation (see 'How we Edit Legislation' in Help), it will usually take from two to four weeks following enactment for new legislation to appear. In a few cases, such as where an Act is very large or heavily affecting, or where a large number of Acts have received the Royal Assent at the same time, it may take longer. The message ‘Primary Legislation Latest’ on the Home page gives details of progress in loading recent legislation. Newly enacted legislation not yet appearing on SLD can be accessed on the website of the Office of Public Sector Information.
